Exterior off of W. 7th close to downtown St. Paul. Homeowner said it was the mayors house at some point in the late 1800’s. No idea if that’s true but it certainly is an old house. When I arrived it had been mostly scraped by another painter who took payment and bailed, and much of the soffit and fascia were removed due to rot.
I pre-finished some the the boards and plywood being used for the repairs, and another contractor installed them. Garage included. Siding color ended up being WWII Army green so I dubbed this project The Generals House.
Windows covered, all surfaces scraped of remaining vines and loose paint, sprayed and back-brushed 20 gallons of tinted Peal Stop thick bonding primer to fill in gaps and basically glue the loose shakes together. Also included oil priming back stairwell walls and ceiling and prime/painting exterior back steps.
